IMPULSE Center for Gifted Children
Discription
Navigation
The architectural solution for the Impulse Center for Gifted Children places special emphasis on navigation that aims to provide convenience and accessibility for all visitors.
The door plates are made of transparent plexiglass. The classroom names are written in Russian and complemented with inscriptions in a foreign language to cater the foreign visitors' needs. The transparency of plexiglass makes the plates unobtrusive, yet clearly visible.
A floor plan of the building serves as an additional means of navigation. It is drawn in black on a plexiglass surface, which ensures legibility of the diagram and makes it possible to mark the visitor's location in orange. The arrows on the diagram show the direction to a specific room, helping the visitors find their way quickly and accurately. The developed navigation is an important element contributing to the comfort and convenience of the Impulse center visitors. It is instrumental in finding the required rooms fast.
